About Us

When given the opportunity to create your own engineering project, why not strive to make it the best anyone has ever seen?

We are Nebula, a team of four year 12 students from Wesley College in Perth, Western Australia determined to use our combined 20 years of experience in the competition to become the 2020 F1 in Schools World Champions.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the World Finals will be held virtually later this year.

Riley is the backbone of the team, delegating tasks and planning ahead to ensure everything is done well and in a timely fashion. As well as his responsibilities as Team Manager, Riley is also the Graphic Designer of the team, designing the team’s brand, logo, booth and social media.

The design engineer of a team is considered by many to be one of the most important roles on the team, and Aarav is well suited to the task. With five years of experience in designing F1 in schools cars, he is responsible for designing car concepts, analysing and improving them, and finally producing a final concept to be manufactured and raced.

As resource manager, Chris is essential to the team’s success, as he is in charge of acquiring all resources for the team, including finances, car elements, booth materials, and marketing items. Chris is also the primary reaction driver for the team, pressing the button to launch the car.

Reuben is the Manufacturing engineer of our team, the person responsible for the construction of all of the physical elements of the project, mainly the manufacturing of the cars and booth. As such, he has a fine eye for detail, and accepts nothing less than perfection in the construction of the car. He is also the secondary reaction driver for the team, ready to step in at the competition.
